Pool and Resort Regulations

1. Opening hours

Opening hours. Swimming outside these hours is not permitted and is subject to a 5,000 THB penalty.

2. Access

The pool area is reserved for resort guests and Day Pass holders. Please register at reception before your first use of the pool. We may decline access to anyone who does not observe these regulations, and may ask a guest to leave the pool area.

3. Children

There is no lifeguard on duty at any time. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or responsible adult at all times, who must remain within arm’s reach of a non-swimming child. Children who are not toilet-trained must wear swim nappies. Inflatable armbands are not a substitute for adult supervision.

4. Health and hygiene

Please shower before entering the water. Entry is not permitted to anyone with an infectious or contagious illness, an open wound or bandage, a skin infection, or an infection of the eyes, ears, nose or throat. Guests who have had diarrhoea or vomiting must not enter the pool for at least fourteen days after symptoms end. Please do not enter the water under the influence of alcohol or of medication that affects balance, judgement or consciousness. Sun cream and body oils should be applied well before swimming.

5. Swimwear

Proper swimwear is required. Please do not swim in ordinary clothing, underwear or footwear. Swimming without swimwear is not permitted at any time.

6. Safety in and around the pool

No diving, jumping or somersaulting into the water — the pool is not deep enough for diving at any point. Please do not run, push, wrestle or engage in rough play; the surfaces around the pool are slippery when wet. Do not swim alone. Breath-holding games and prolonged underwater breath-holding are strictly prohibited, as they can cause blackout without warning. Do not sit or climb on the pool edge tiles, ladders or handrails, and do not obstruct them.

7. Glass and other items

Glass of any kind is not permitted in the pool area, including bottles, tumblers and glassware brought from the restaurant. Please do not take drinks of any kind into the water. Outside food, drinks and alcohol may not be brought onto the property. Sharp objects, large inflatables and diving equipment are not permitted in the pool.

8. Conduct and noise

Please respect the comfort of other guests and keep noise to a minimum. Loudspeakers and music played aloud are not permitted in the pool area; please use headphones. Quiet hours run from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM in the pool area, the gardens and the rooms. The Beach Bar terrace stays open until 11:00 PM; guests using it after 10:00 PM are asked to keep conversation low and to stay off the pool deck. Sunbeds may not be reserved with towels or belongings while not in use, and unattended items may be moved by staff after one hour.

9. Pets

Pets are not permitted on the property or in the pool area, with the exception of assistance animals, which must be arranged with reception in advance.

10. Maintenance and closures

The pool may be closed at short notice for cleaning, maintenance, water treatment or in adverse weather, including thunderstorms and lightning. Guests must leave the water immediately when asked to do so by a member of staff. Notices will be posted at the pool entrance and at reception. No refund or compensation is offered for periods of closure.

11. Personal belongings

Please do not leave valuables unattended. COSY accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to personal property in the pool area.

12. Liability

Guests use the pool and the surrounding area entirely at their own risk. COSY accepts no liability for accident, injury, illness, death or loss arising from use of the pool, save where caused by our proven negligence, and nothing in these regulations excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under Thai law. Entering the pool area constitutes acceptance of these regulations. Any damage caused to the property will be charged to the guest.

13. In an emergency

Contact reception at once on +66 92 467 1164, or ask any member of staff. Emergency services in Thailand: 1669 for an ambulance, 191 for police.
